Over a two year period, Advanced Concrete Pumping provided the placing boom, static tower pump and labour force required to pump over 16,500m3 of concrete for the Pacifica Tower complex, located in the Auckland CBD. The complex, comprising residential apartments and facilities, a 41 suite boutique hotel with high-end retail, will be the second highest building in New Zealand at 178 metres tall. Concrete pumping was undertaken by utilizing a jumpform (designed and provided by Icon), allowing for the placing book (affixed to the jumpform) to be raised for each level. To be able to undertake and complete a concrete pumping project of this size and magnitude, with the challenges that it entailed, is an exciting and rewarding achievement for Advanced Concrete Pumping.

Advanced Concrete Pumping provided the concrete pumping services required for the construction of Waiparuru Hall, a student accommodation development for the University of Auckland. The construction of the accommodation, comprising 786 bedrooms and facilities, commenced in 2018 on a site adjacent to the Auckland motorway. The development comprised of the construction of two towers, 12 and 14 levels respectively with a basement beneath. This was a challenging project due to the steepness of the site and lack of access and room on the site for pump setup and operation. Concrete pumping was undertaken by two placing booms being fed by one stationary pump.
